Biden-Harris supporters are compiling “Enemies Lists,” reminiscent of totalitarian regimes. “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) tweeted in November. Michael Simon, former official under Barack Obama and now staffer with “Trump Accountability Project,” responded, “Yes, we are … Every administration staffer, campaign staffer, bundler, lawyer who represented them — everyone.” Judges were on initial lists.
Remember Democratic Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s threat last March in front of the U.S. Supreme Court as it heard Louisiana’s law requiring abortionists to have hospital admitting privileges? Schumer threatened, “Gorsuch … Kavanaugh: You have released the whirlwind, and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.” If Democrats win the Georgia Senate races, Schumer becomes Senate majority leader and possible Vice President Kamala Harris would break tie votes.
The Biden campaign lured Catholics with ads featuring the Vatican, Bibles, rosaries, smiling nuns, and handshakes with Pope Francis. Biden stated, “I go to Mass, and I say the rosary.” Another ad featured a fellow parishioner explaining that Biden’s faith “motivates everything: Joe’s beliefs, his values … Joe Biden knows what it means to be your brother’s keeper.” Biden’s website says, “I’m a practicing Catholic.”
Biden opposes all legal protections for children before birth. He plans to pre-empt state law and abolish restrictions on abortion including clinic zoning. He wants to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which has blocked tax-paid Medicaid abortions since 1976. He will fund abortion programs overseas. Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel of Biden’s coronavirus team wrote in The Atlantic in 2014 that living past age 75 is morally problematic. Will this statement guide policy?
Biden’s website indicates he would “spur more than $50 billion in additional public-private venture capital to Black and Brown entrepreneurs” and “$100 billion in low-interest business loans… in Black and Brown communities.” The U.S. Constitution requires “equal treatment” under the law. The Second Vatican Council’s Gaudium et Spes states that a Christian’s duty in economic and political affairs “is that of providing diligently … the dignity of the human person without any discrimination of race” (GS 60).
Biden would sign the so-called “Equality Act,” which mandates “acceptance” of same-sex behavior, “transgenderism,” and hiring those in same-sex “marriages” in churches, schools, businesses, and charities — or face fines from $50,000 to $300,000 per violation. Catholic Charities would be required to place children with same-sex couples or lose adoption certification and tax-exempt status.
Biden would raise taxes, conduct social experiments in the military, restrict our Second Amendment, and issue executive orders for abortion, climate change, and “critical race theory” while ensuring those entering the U.S. illegally soon become voters.
If Democrats win Georgia’s two U.S. Senate seats, Democrats could add six liberal justices to the U.S. Supreme Court to ensure liberal court decisions. They will try to abolish the Electoral College. The District of Columbia and Puerto Rico could become states, adding four liberal senators and cementing Democratic power in the Senate.
We must pray especially hard and publicly counter such a radical agenda threatening our families, churches, and nation.
