More impressive, it contains 11 original tracks all written by the singer with the hope of bringing a deeper understanding of Catholic theology to the modern music scene. His third solo album, Beyond the Veil includes two Eucharistic songs, the pro-life song “American Anthem for Life” and one dedicated to the recently-ended Year for Priests: “You Are A Priest Forever.”
On Aug. 28, at the 2010 Unity Awards for excellence in Catholic contemporary music, Flynn picked up awards for Praise and Worship Album of the Year for Beyond the Veil, Devotional Song of the Year (“You Are a Priest Forever”), and Liturgical/Sacramental Song of the Year (“Panis Vere”). Well deserved, indeed!
