Chapter History

The Legatus Lehigh Valley (Pa.) Chapter was chartered in November 2004. Centered on the Allentown diocese, the area includes Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton, and Schuylkill Counties.

Len Marrella was founding president, Monsignor Alfred A. Schlert served as first chaplain, and Bishop Edward P. Cullen of the Allentown diocese gave his approval and blessing.

Lehigh Valley Chapter presidents past to present include Len Marrella, C. T. O’Donnell, Tim Twardzik, John Miravich, Woody Rohrbach, and David Caccese. Interim chaplain was Fr. John Krivak.

As of this printing, David Caccese serves as chapter president. Monsignor John P. Murphy is the chaplain, and the chapter functions under the guidance and blessing of Bishop John O. Barres.

The Lehigh Valley Chapter saw a 100% membership renewal rate in 2010 under the leadership of then-president Woody Rohrbach.
