Legatus member since 2018 in the Denver and Detroit Chapters, Judy Dunn has just been seated on our Board of Governors.
Having spent over 25 years as a business, sales, and marketing executive, she was also president and owner of a wine distributorship in Michigan, Decanter Imports. Over the last 10 years, Judy became more deeply involved in Catholic work – such as major Church and building-project fundraising, serving on the President’s Advancement and Advisory Council (PAC) for FOCUS, the board of directors for the Augustine Institute, and ENDOW (Educating on the Nature and Dignity of Women).
A strong proponent for missionary work, Judy devoted over 20 years to the Daughters of Charity’s Detroit board, having volunteered countless hours with the city’s homeless children. She also aided in numerous mission trips worldwide with the Missionaries of Charity.
Legatus Vice-Chairman, Berni Neal, says, “Judy knits together the strengths of Legatus: faith formation, fellowship, and best practices. However, it’s her openness to drawing in others, old friends, new friends, even the not-yet-friends, that speaks to her self-awareness as a disciple in Christ and magnet for good! We are so blessed to have her critical thinking on the board.”
Originally from Texas, Judy came to Michigan in the 1980s, and now divides her time between Detroit and Aspen where she fulfills her love of winter sports and the mountains. She earned her business degree from Southern Methodist University.
Please join me in welcoming Judy as the newest member of our Board! We are so fortunate to have her among our governance.
